A South African couple decided to share a meal and kindness with an unsuspecting person proving that this is who we really are.
Tammy Du Plessis and her husband Jean Prieur decided to share a meal with the car guard after hearing that the restaurant was running a buy one get one free special.
After ordering, Jean Prieur walked outside to find someone who would appreciate the free meal. He saw Alpha, a car guard in the parking lot and knew immediately that the warm meal would be comforting on the cold evening.
They prayed together, ate together, had some coffee. They spoke about their lives, their fellowship and left the evening with a new friend.
Tammy summed it up perfectly “We were the blessed ones to spend time with Alpha. Look around, there are so many people doing great work, we often just miss it.”
This is what South Africa is about, these are true South Africans that can make us proud of how we are, sharing kindness with each other.
