A dash-cam video is going viral in South Africa showing how a Brave Biker stopped a “smash and grab” in action in peak hour traffic!
Anton Damhuis is being hailed a hero after stopping the “smash and grab” during peak hour traffic.
The brave biker was on his way home when he saw the incident in action and decided to intervene. It took some quick thinking but Damhuis managed to stop the looter and managed to get the victim’s laptop back too.
The confrontation happened on Monday 10 September 2018, at the corner of London Road and 13th Avenue in Alexandra and the video has started to trend amongst South Africans, who are thankful for the brave biker’s actions.
Carol-Anne Best commented: “Nicely done. It’s nice to know there are still people out there willing to help. Thank you.”
Deanos Rides added: “Well done Anton! Nice move and well done for holding it up, looked like a close one!”
Magda posted: “Well done, so brave, lots of respect!”
SneakyRussian said: “Well done, man! I’m sure the victim was in shock so being grateful was not high on his list of priorities!”
Phillip Coetser was the victim in the other car and has since made contact with Damhuis to thank him.
“My friend, I was the man in the car and I want to really thank you for intervening. Sorry I did not thank you yesterday, but I was in a bit of a shock.
I eventually ran over him with the car and unfortunately my laptop.
The dent in the car is a minor price to pay for my safety and protection. May the God that created heaven and earth bless you abundantly in the name of His Son, Jesus Christ!”
To many videos and stories are being shared with regards to crime in South Africa but Good Things Guy readers have sent us this video numerous times asking us to publish it and honour Damhuis for his bravery.
