Christian Paine, an 8-year-old boy from Fourways in Johannesburg, asked all his friends and schoolmates to gift books so he could donate them to a school.

Fourways, Johannesburg – Christian Paine is a grade 2 pupil from Crawford Prep in Fourways turned 8-years-old on the 1st of August. He wanted to do something good for his eighth birthday and decided to ask for books which he could donate to a school in need.

Christian chose the ‘Mother Touch Academy’ as the beneficiary for his birthday books. Mother Touch Academy was born out of a need to provide pre-school and educational services to children in the impoverished Diepsloot community.

The school helps parents who receive grants, ensure their children get the very best foundation before going into primary school. The school cares for 120 children offering a positive, safe and caring environment.

They were so thankful for Christian’s efforts in boosting their book collection. They thanked him for going above and beyond to help them.

“Not only did he ask his friends he asked everyone at this school to get involved. Last week he delivered an ENORMOUS amount of beautiful books, games and some toys to us.

Christian, you are a very special young man and we are blessed to have met you. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness.

Mom, Shanda Paine you have an amazing son, you must be so proud.”
