There really is no stopping DJ Black Coffee’s shine. Fresh from winning a prestigious BET Award in L.A over the weekend, the DJ has revealed that he is working on a collaboration with US songbird Alicia Keys.

Speaking to Sunday Times recently, Black Coffee confirmed that the pair are working together, but refused to reveal any more details because he feels he “can’t keep telling people everything I’m doing, as it may bore people.”

Alicia Keys performed her new track Hallelujah at BET Network’s Upfront on Wednesday.

The 35-year-old songstress took to the stage at Jazz in the Lincoln Center in New York City and performed the haunting ballad, which is set to be her first chart offering since her 2012 album Girl on Fire.

The delighted star told the crowd: “I feel like I’m performing for my family in my living room.”

Since giving birth to her 13-month-old son Genesis back in December 2014, Alicia has been busy in the studio working on her highly anticipated sixth studio album.

And the performance comes soon after the Empire State of Mind hitmaker teased fans she’d be back with “new music to share”.

She announced on Snapchat on Saturday: “I’ve been dying to share some news with you for a while. I have new music to share with you and I’m gonna be performing in the next couple of weeks.”

News of the collaboration comes only two months after Alicia’s husband Swizz Beatz posted a video praising the DJ.

“This Black Coffee album is Fire! My boy is Backkkkkkkk. Snap Bronxbasquiat,” Swizz wrote as a caption to the video.

Black Coffee has made major waves in America and is also apparently working on material with his Hollywood BFF P.Diddy.

The DJ has become a global hit, with a sold-out world tour last year and a spot at the prestigious Coachella music festival earlier this year going some way to add to his global appeal.
