The Friends of Rottweiler Rescue and Re-home South Africa are hoping to collect blankets for the dogs in their kennels.
Johannesburg, South Africa (02 June 2024) – The Friends of Rottweiler Rescue and Re-home South Africa have started to raise funds to buy 200 blankets and a few heat lamps, to help their favourite breed of rescues get through the chilly winter evenings.
The organisation is breed-specific and works to save as many Rottweilers in South Africa as possible. It works with animal welfare organisations around South Africa, trying to find homes for any Rottweilers waiting in shelters. The organisation is based in Gauteng but works nationally.
The winter campaign was launched just in time for the weather which has started to take a chilly, wintery turn.
“Our dogs in Gauteng can now feel the winter chill approaching and once again, this year we are asking our friends to buy a blanket, or 2 or a heating lamp for our dogs in kennels.
We use thick lined Sesli blankets which are R100
A heating lamp for the kennels is R190
However we don’t need this exact figure donated, any amount of your choice will buy a portion of a blanket or lamp of even a few 🙏🏻
Our main goal is to collect 200 blankets as we need three per a dog, 2 on rotation from washing and 1 in the event of….explosion?”
