The Boksburg SPCA has its own guardian, garden angel—the reason behind their gorgeous blooms. Not only does the garden bring joy and beauty to the shelter, but it also boosts morale on the hard days of animal welfare. How wholesome is that?

Boksburg, South Africa (12 January 2024) — In a heartfelt (and literal) example of what planting seeds of change and kindness can look like, an anonymous hero has committed to making sure the Boksburg SPCA has the most gorgeous garden in town.

Dubbed the Garden Angel of Boksburg, the anonymous Good Samaritan is the reason the Boksburg SPCA has a garden that blossoms with joy. These blooms not only look like something out of a fairytale but also serve another, deeper purpose: boosting the morale on the hard days in animal welfare.

The Garden Angel donates seedlings year-round to make sure that the garden is never bare and even covers the cost of a gardener who takes care of the flora delights every single week.

“Our gardens always look so beautiful, the colours and variety of pants are a fabulous sight to behold,” share the Boksburg SPCA.

Beyond aesthetics, the garden is a huge visual reminder to keep doing what they do for animals in their community because there are people who believe in their mission wholeheartedly.

“Animal welfare is tough and looking out onto this beauty can’t help but lift one’s spirits. our many visitors are always so complimentary as to how our beautiful our SPCA looks,” they add.
