Borehole

A woman living in Pretoria saw the need in her community and stepped forward to offer help. Parts of the area are without water so she offered her borehole.

Pretoria, South Africa – Zinea Huston’s mother, Connie, opened her home to her community to collect water from their borehole. The community has been without water and she knew she could lend a helping hand.

Zinea was blown away by her mother’s kindness so she shared the beautiful show of Ubuntu.

“If one day I can be half the woman my mother is, I know I’ll be phenomenal.”

“Since yesterday morning, there has been no water in our neighbourhood in Pretoria, but our family is fortunate and fortunate enough to have a borehole so that we can still function as normal. As my mother always does, she decided tonight that we should share what we have with others.”

Zinea’s mother doesn’t have Facebook so she can’t see all the kind words people are sharing about her good deed. Zinea hopes that her Connie’s actions will inspire those who don’t know her personally.

“When there is need, mom always tries to relieve it, always. Thanks mom, for showing every day how caring truly looks!”
