A man wanting to get his cat to the vet took a Christmas hamper bucket and converted it into a cat carrier so he could safely get his cat to the SPCA.
Sandton, South Africa (07 September 2022) – The Sandton SPCA has shared a heartwarming story about how far a cat owner went to get his kitty the treatment it needed. The story has left many admiring his love for the cat and his quick thinking in using a bucket to keep the cat safe.
The cat owner noticed his cat had been injured in a fight and needed its eye seen to. He got one of the buckets used for Christmas hampers, drilled holes for ventilation and placed his injured cat in the bucket.
It may not be the most conventional method of transportation for a cat, but the gentleman wanted to be sure his kitty was safe along the commute. We are in awe of his dedication to his feline friend.
“We love people who love their animals.
This gent’s cat was in a fight and had an injury on his eye. His loving owner walked all the way to the Sandton SPCA to get his cat help but didn’t have a cat carrier. He decided to make a plan as he was worried his cat would jump out of his arms and get more injured or lost so he found a [bucket], cleaned it out and poked holes in it.
He was overwhelmingly happy when we fixed his cat’s eye and fixed his cat (#spaytember) and gave his furry companion some treats and blankets for the road.
The gent told us that he can’t imagine life without his beloved cat and that his cat sleeps with him on his bed – a purrrrrrfect happy ending.
