Mdu is a busker on South Beach Durban who got his break after being filmed during a performance, now he has just been gifted a brand new guitar
South Beach, Durban – Brad Hunter saw Mdu while at the Surf Riders Food Shack. Mdu is a busker, also known as a street performer, along the South Beach beachfront. He carries his guitar with him and sings his own songs. Brad Hunter was having dinner when he first heard Mdu sing.
He was inspired by Mdu’s talent and knew he had to be heard by the world. A talent like that should not go unnoticed so he started filming his performance.

Since that chance meeting and Brad sharing the videos online, Mdu has gone on to inspire so many people. He was invited to perform for the elderly and many of our readers have been in contact to hire him for various events.
Recently, while Mdu was sitting on the beachfront taking a break from his performance, he was surprised by an incredible donation. An anonymous person contacted Brad and asked if they could sponsor a new guitar to Mdu.
“Today Mdu was anonymously donated a brand new guitar, these two people went above and beyond with the case and lots of extras. Handing it over was a real privilege, at the place where it all began and this was his reaction.

Not only did the new instrument come with a really nice case, the anonymous donor added in all the needed extras. Mdu is working his way from street busker to stage performer. With the help of Brad, he has already had a number of booked gigs.
