Celebrity Masterchef Winner Seth Sithembele Shezi stopped by Ladles of Love to share half his prize money with the charity that feeds so many in need, a gift that will feed hundreds for a school year!

South Africa (14 February 2025) — In a huge and heartwarming moment for Ladles of Love—a non-profit serving up hope and meals—Celebrity Masterchef South Africa Winner Seth Sithembele Shezi visited the team with a gift beyond compare.

The latest winner of the famed cooking competition that pins celebrity talents against one another in the kitchen, Seth wasted little time in deciding on the charity he most wanted to make a difference for.

As is the nature of the competition, winners get to decide on the charity they wish to share their winnings with. For Seth, it only made sense to support Ladles of Love who provide nutritious meals and dignity to the hungry—from young children to the homeless.

Thanks to the whopping R520,000 donation, Ladles of Love will now be able to feed 175 children, their teachers and carers for an entire school year; affording each two meals per day!

Ladles of Love described the moment as one in which “hope was reignited”, adding that the pre-schools who are set to be supported (Kids Ministry and Drie Beertjies) had no idea that this generosity was coming their way.

In addition, Seth also put his culinary chops to the test by preparing a recipe for the children with the same ingredients Ladles of Love supplies to the pre-schools!
