Anu walks onto the playground to show off her new pink prosthetic sports blade. Her class mates have the most endearing reaction and make the world smile!
Anu is a seven year old sweetheart, she attends school in Birmingham, UK. She had her leg amputated shortly after she was born. Thanks to a generous injection of funding for child prosthetic’s, the National Health Service in the UK was able to provide new sports prosthetic’s to 500 children.
The new sports blades enable running and other sporting activities, meaning that Anu can do so much more than just walk now.
“She is happy now as her new pink sports blade allows her to play, jump, run and dance.”
Anu was filmed walking onto the playground with her new pink sports blade for the first time. Watching the video you can see she is just beaming with pride!
As soon as her friends and classmates spot her they come running over to greet her, calling her name and asking,
“Anu, Is that your new pink leg?”
One of the children also responds with a very audible ‘WOW’! Her classmates take turns giving her hugs, beaming with joy. She then takes off on a run and everybody joins in. At the very end of the video she takes her friends hand and the two swing their legs as they walk along the playground.
