Massimo Orione asked his community for support to help find work for mathematician Emanuel Moses, and it worked; he got his first tutoring job.

Hout Bay, South Africa (07 September 2021) – Massimo Orione of “the best pizza in Africa” fame, shared a post on a Hout Bay community page and the community stepped up in the best way! Whenever there is a need, Massimo and his team come up with a way to give back.

Massimo and Tracy are a fantastic couple who opened an Italian restaurant in Hout Bay called Massimo’s in 2009. They are incredibly passionate about food, their clients and South Africa!

Massimo has seen Emanuel Moses’ sign looking for work and decided to share it with his community group. He said,

“If your child, or even you ex-President, needs math lessons give Emanuel a try. He stands every day in Valley road at the corner of Park road.

He also loves reading so drop a book.”

People quickly started chatting on the group about seeing him and how he is always smiling and waving as they pass. Massimo popped over to visit him and learned that some of the community had dropped off a few books.

Then Vivienne Morrisby shared that she had hired Emanuel to tutor her daughter. She explained that the incredible mathematician was a great help and natural teacher. Vivienne has asked him to return for more tutoring, and she has recommended that others hire him for the same.

“My daughter (gr9) REALLY struggles with maths. Today she had her first lesson with Emmanuel. He was amazing. He is quietly spoken and an absolute gentleman. He has vast experience in teaching international students and he made so much progress with my daughter that she’s asked if he can come back tomorrow. He’s a natural teacher with a brilliant mind. Thanks Massimo Orione for your post. Today we discovered a gem!” – Vivienne Upwards Morrisby

So if you find yourself in Hout Bay and needing a brilliant mathematician, Emanuel is your guy!
