A 19-year-old construction worker has been hailed a hero after saving 14 lives using his crane to rescue them from the third floor of a burning building.

Fushun City, China – A 19-year-old construction worker has been hailed a hero in the Liaoning Province of China after saving 14 lives. The man was working nearby when he saw the billows of smoke rising from an apartment building nearby.

Lan Junze, the young man in question, was working at a nearby construction site in Fushun City, Liaoning Province when he heard screams and saw smoke coming from an adjacent structure.

He immediately rushed over to investigate the area and saw that the apartment building had caught fire. The screams were coming from people who where trapped in the building. When he looked closer, he saw that there were over a dozen people trapped on the third floor.

Being a crane operator, he quickly jumped into action. He drove his crane to the site of the fire and used it to rescue the people trapped in the building. He manoeuvred the machine over to the building and raised it to the third floor. Lan was able to use his crane to save all 14 people from the fire.

He held it steady near an opening, and the people climbed onto it to get away from the flames. He repeated the rescue over the next 30 minutes and was able to save everyone trapped in the building.

“At the time, all I could think about was how to save the trapped people”

One fan said that Lan is like the Chinese version of a Marvel Superhero. The hair-raising rescue was caught on camera, and now Lan is being praised across the globe for his heroic efforts. Take a look at the video below.
