Helen Counihan-Greene set up a crowdfund to cover the shortfall of school fees for an ex-employee’s daughter who is currently on a bursary.
Johannesburg, South Africa – Bright minds deserve to shine and those who do everything in their power to make sure that happens, are the best kinds of people! Helen Counihan-Greene has always been proud of Nomandla. The bright little six-year-old earned herself a bursary to Parkview Junior School.
“Nomandla is our old employee’s daughter, who was like another child to us! She is a glorious creature, very clever and a sweet, charming personality! I helped name her, and she holds a very special place in my heart.
She is now 6 years old and in Gr R in Johannesburg, South Africa. It is National Women’s Month and we want to enlist your help in educating more girls!
She is on a bursary for this year, but needs to pay her fees for next year – R24 000 for tuition. We have raised R10 500 so far! We need to confirm her place by end of August 2019.”
Helen is doing everything in her power to make sure that Nomandla gets the best education possible and hopes to keep her in the same school for next year.
“She has a very solid education base which has been formed through a private, traditional, pre-primary and now Gr R. We have all worked so hard thus far to get her here, and we hope to continue this!”
Helen has confirmed that the funds raised via her crowdfund on BackaBuddy will be paid directly to the Parkview Junior School by BackaBuddy.
