Cupcake angels make a difference in the lives of cancer patients every month, with 233 patients supported this past month! Here’s how you and your cupcakes can help make a difference:
South Africa (03 June 2024) — Thanks to the ever-resilient cupcake angels who bring forth hope with every bake, sale and sweet intention they undertake, 233 cancer patients were able to get much-needed financial support in May!
24 new patients were also welcomed into the Cupcakes of Hope support fold, with the youngest patient being a 9-month-old baby.
How do cupcakes make all of this possible? The non-profit are supported by a fierce and growing cupcake community who do everything from hosting cupcake parties to creating national cupcake challenges all to raise funds for the cancer patients they support, and have been doing so for over a decade.
Their story began with their first patient, little Keagan, whose family was told he wouldn’t make it to two years old. Well, Keagan went on to celebrate many more birthdays since then, with his most recent being his 11th. He was the first of many children who the cupcake angels rallied their fundraising efforts for and he remains the story of hope that inspires so many other families.
With each month comes new challenges and new opportunities to make the most important difference some people will ever experience in their lives, and here are a few ways you can support the Cupcake Angels in the coming months:
- Join the 6K for Stehan Challenge
- Join the National Cupcake Topper Challenge
- Host a mini bake sale for June (Cancer Survivor Month)
You can email bake@cupcakesofhope.org, signup@cupcakesofhope.org and keep up with their socials for more info.
