The Angel Network recently raised funds for students without data, struggling to keep up with online classwork. One recipient of data wrote a thank you to donors.
Johannesburg, South Africa (05 June 2020) – Often on Good Things Guy, we will write stories about crowdfunding and donation requests. What we love most, is when we get to see the positive outcomes of people making the donations.
Recently, The Angel Network sent out a plea for assistance in covering data costs for students stuck at home and falling behind in their educations. With data still being so expensive, many families were unable to afford enough to cover their children’s educations. The Angel Network community made it happen!
Terrence Liswoga was a recipient of data and he was able to catch up on all the work he missed out on. He was so grateful, he wrote a letter to the donors that helped him, thanking them for believing in his education.
The letter says:
An appreciation letter
The Angel Network
My Name is Terrence Liswoga. I reside in Alexandra township and I’m currently studying my 3rd year in Financial Accounting at North West University Vaal Triangle Campus.
First of all, I would like to express great appreciation on behalf of myself and all those luckily and financially sponsored by you. It says in Venda – No appreciation is enough for great kindness. But here I still want to thank you all for your kindness and generosity, which has provided me with hope and courage to live a better life.
No words could possibly express how happy I was when Joshua informed me that I will be sponsored by you to receive a Rain Sim Card with unlimited data. Since the pandemic COVID-19 started, I have been at home doing online learning and had to use data to access the internet. I couldn’t afford data, it has been a challenge and an added burden. However, with this sponsorship, your generosity encourages me not only to continue to be hopeful, but also to continue on my academic path as a future Financial Accountant.
I may not ever be able to say/show this enough to you, but thank you so much for your kindness. “Blessed is the hand that gives than the one that receives”
With many thanks and prayers
Terrence Liswoga
