Reunited

Benjamin lost everything in the Imizamo Yethu fire, he made sure to get his two dogs to safety. DARG captured the touching moment they were reunited.

Benjamin lost everything he owned during the Imizamo Yethu fire in Hout Bay. The fire wasn’t his main concern, first and foremost he got his two dogs out of the danger area and took them to the DARG rescue centre.

The rescue centre took in as many animals as they could and promised to keep them safe and secure until the families could come back and collect them.

Benjamin started to rebuild his home, it took him two months to finish the rebuild. As soon as his home was secured again he went to go and collect his dogs from DARG.

DARG has been capturing the reunions of multiple families and sharing them on their Facebook. Benjamin’s reunion with his favourite girl is the most heartwarming and touching one by far!

Reunited

#IYfirerescue reunions are still ongoing! This photo speaks volumes.

Two months ago Benjamin lost everything in the Imizamo Yethu fire, but he made sure his two dogs were safely taken to DARG in the fire evacuation.

He has managed to rebuild his home and came to collect his two pet dogs.
Pictured here with his one girl who leapt into his arms when she saw her dad 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍❤️❤️❤️❤️

This image perfectly captures the love that dogs can have for their humans, that excitement and joy is the most heartwarming thing of all!
