Love Story has launched a new project called the “Dora Baby Shower Bags” which will see them gifting goodie bags to new moms at Dora Nginza Provincial Hospital.

Nelson Mandela Bay, South Africa (20 March 2023) – Love Story in Gqberha is planning a new project that will celebrate new moms and give them a “baby shower gift”. The project will serve new moms who are at Dora Nginza Hospital.

Love Story is a non-profit organisation founded by Elaine Watson that seeks to meet the needs of the local community. They operate in and around Port Elizabeth and are involved in various projects, e.g. soup kitchens, creche support, clothing/toy distribution, hospital handouts, etc.

Many new and expecting moms in South Africa don’t get to have the joy of celebrating their baby at a baby shower. Many struggle to make ends meet and need a helping hand to cover the basics for their baby.

This is why Love Story has launched its baby shower project, to help mothers in need.

“Visiting the new moms and babies at Dora Nginza hospital is one of our favourite things to do! We are starting to collect the much needed items to make up our beautiful Dora Baby Shower Bags.”

How to support the Dora Baby Shower project:

1.Donate R100 towards filling a bag

2.Donate baby items such as:

  • Blankets
  • Baby clothing (0-3months)
