The Reach for a Dream Foundation made a little girl’s dream pink butterfly bedroom a reality and her reaction was priceless!

In the last 30 years, the Reach for a Dream Foundation has fulfilled over 18,300 children’s dreams. They have also touched the lives of over 45 000 more children through their various projects.

The Foundation works to fulfil the dreams of children between the ages of 3 and 18 who are living with life-threatening illnesses. The dream team uses the special day to help the children regain some of their childhoods which mostly consists of medical routines and being cautious.

“We believe in the power of dreams and we encourage children to use their dreams to fight life-threatening illnesses. We seek, as far as possible, to make dreams come true and our donors and sponsors make this happen.” – Reach for a Dream

Okgabane (8) from Aliwal North, adores butterflies and everything pink. Her dream was to have a beautiful room but due to her treatment, there has never been time to redo it.

The foundation arranged to makeover her bedroom and give her a big surprise. The look on her face when she opened her newly painted door was priceless and really warms the heart.

“Thanks to Sandvik who made this dream possible & the awesome BFN volunteers who transformed her bedroom into a pink oasis.”
