Dreamer Kathryn wanted to spend her dream day deep sea fishing with her family, so the Reach for a Dream Foundation made it happen!
South Africa (17 July 2024) — Kathryn had the very best dream day with her family at the East London Ski Boat Club, where they went deep-sea fishing. The young dreamer is fighting her biggest battle, and this is a chance to step away from medical woes and be a child, having fun with her family.
“Kathryn’s dream day began with a deep-sea fishing cruise with her family at the East London Ski Boat Club. Decked out in personalized tees, her excitement soared as they boarded the boat and departed towards the horizon.
Just when the day couldn’t get any better, Kathryn was surprised with her very own trampoline.
This had always been her dream, and she couldn’t believe it had become a reality. At the end of the day, while chatting and reminiscing over a cozy braai and telling stories, Kathryn’s resilient spirit shone bright. She shared her belief in life’s beauty, a true testament to her inner strength.
Making Kathryn’s dream come true showed us the immense power dreams have and that every moment is precious for every dreamer..”
Dream Days are what the Reach for a Dream Foundation lives for. The organisation works to surprise sickly children, often enduring terminal diseases and illness, with the day of their dreams. This helps each child feel like a child again, even just for a day!
Reach For A Dream is a leading non-profit organisation, to help children fight a serious disease by making their dreams – such as swimming with dolphins, meeting an idol or celebrity or getting a new doll house – come true. This not only gives these youngsters and their families an invaluable respite from daily stressors associated with ill health but stirs up much-needed courage and hope, helping these little ones believe that tomorrow is worth fighting for.
These dreams make all the difference for the children and their families. They ignite hope and joy and bring peace. If you want to support dreams like this one, you can find out more via the website here.
