Pierré Jordaan was on his way to church when he smelled burning rubber; Sergeant Mogoboya stopped by the busy Buccleuch interchange to help with the tyre change.

Gauteng, South Africa (02 April 2024) – Pierré Jordaan was on his way to church on Easter Sunday when his car started acting up. As he pulled over just past the Buccleuch interchange on the N1, he felt dread at the thought of having to change a tyre at the dangerous interchange. Thankfully, a helpful man stopped to make the process go much faster.

Sergeant Mogoboya of the SAPS Gauteng Highway Patrol pulled over to lend a helping hand and get Pierré back on his way.

Before the sergeant arrived, Pierré had sent his pin location to friends and was hoping someone would be able to get to him in time. Friends had said they would be on their way to help.

“The car is in the emergency lane, but to change a wheel, especially in the front right, remains dangerous.
I am thinking of friends who live near the next exit and call them”

Sergeant Mogoboya had the wheel changed within minutes and was then able to guide Pierré back onto the busy highway.

“There are Angels around us, every day!

“It’s the small things that count and show what beautiful surrounding people we have in this beautiful country.
“Be Kind”

Pierre was back on the road in no time and off to church.
