The Eagle Canyon Estate residents have selected a school as their charitable cause for 2018. They have adopted the Zandspruit Primary School as their beneficiary and plan to support them during 2018.
A few Eagle Canyon Estate residents have promised that this year shall be different. They’ve sworn to establish a Canyon cause – one which the residents can pursue all year round. The residents chose to support a school that has been in desperate need of assistance.
“We recently met with Mr Joshua Mamabolo, principal of Zandspruit Primary School. A short-term analysis has demonstrated a critical need for 80 double desks and 160 school chairs. A site inspection has also revealed that learners have absolutely no shade cover whatsoever and have not had electricity since November last year.”
“There are a few very small and desolate recreational areas, no play equipment, no benches with absolutely no shade. This is a school of over 1000 learners with only 27 teachers and an average of 40 plus students per class.”
Together with the Eagle Canyon residents, Kirinox – a non-profit organisation delivered 80 double desks and 160 chairs to Zandspruit Primary School. The children were so excited about their new desks.
The school will have the chance to make a real impact on the lives of the pupils at the primary school. This is only the beginning, 2018 holds many great things for the school as the estate residents are committed to making a difference.
