Several firefighters and the SPCA answered the call to rescue a kitten that had gotten stuck up an electricity pole in a Cape Town suburb.

Cape Town, South Africa (02 November 2022) – Mayor Geordin-Hill Lewis shared a wholesome video of City of Cape Town firefighters rescuing a stuck kitten. The kitten had got itself stuck up an electricity supply pole and needed assistance.

True to stereotype, the firefighters answered the call to make sure the kitten was safe. We love these kinds of stereotypes! The video was shared with the mayor who then put it online. Already, it has touched the hearts of over 8,000 people.

The team in question, have not only saved the kitten, but they also help the city whenever possible. Not only putting out fires but aiding in the rescues of animals in tight spots and supporting citizens.

The SPCA was on location to take the cat in to be checked and if no owner is found, the kitty will be placed up for adoption.

Everyone involved in the rescue did a stellar job and we love seeing such a happy ending, first thing in the morning.

Take a look at the rescue below.
