45,000 vulnerable beneficiaries in the North-West are being assisted thanks to FoodForward; the organisation made a huge difference during the pandemic and continue to help those in need as life shifts back.
Rustenburg, South Africa (21 February 2022) – FoodForward SA is South Africa’s largest food redistribution charity, and they have touched so many lives throughout the pandemic and now beyond it.
During the 2020/2021 financial year, FoodForward SA distributed 29 million meals and reached nearly 500,000 people daily through a network of 1,000 beneficiary organisations across South Africa.
“We achieved this, at a cost per meal of only R0,85, due to the tremendous support from our donors, partners and volunteers.”
They have set new goals for the next financial year, hoping to distribute 40 million meals.
“For the new financial year, we aim to distribute enough food to make 40 million meals, through a network of 1500 beneficiary organisations. We will increase our Mobile rural Depots in order to reach more rural communities. We can do this with your support, join the food recovery revolution and donate now.” – FoodForward SA
