Pothole

The team at Hirsch’s Fourways noticed a pothole growing larger by the minute and the recent 24-hour rains made it almost impossible to navigate so they took action to help local motorists.

The circle outside of the Fourways Hirsch’s branch has been a nightmare for some time now. From burst pipes and roadworks to constant downpour, a particular spot had become so worn, cars had to avoid the road completely.

In the morning the traffic was gridlocked and all around, it was a difficult road circle to use because of the potholes. Staff at the nearby Hirsch’s store have had to deal with the pothole as well and decided to patch it up until the municipality could come and fix it properly.

“It was hindering traffic movement around the circle outside the store very badly, and the staff and management rallied around before work and filled it. Hirsch’s Fourways takes huge pride in being an active part of the community in Lonehill and Fourways. Jerome Toplan, Chrissie Nortman and the staff delivered one filled pothole with love to the community.” – Sharron Dingle

The filler is just a temporary fix, for now, however, the community is incredibly grateful as the hole really was a nightmare (GTG knows from personal experience with the beast!) So thank you Hirsch’s Fourways, from us at Good Things Guy and the Fourways community.

Their dedication to helping the community is inspiring. What are your thoughts? Have you ever temporarily filled a pothole or have any in your area become problems? Let us know in the comments section.
