From scrubbing office floors to sitting on royal thrones, Her Royal Highness Princess Eurika Mogane’s journey is proof that resilience and purpose can turn even the humblest beginnings into extraordinary success.
Mpumalanga, South Africa (04 November 2024) – Dreams are powerful. They fuel us, inspire us, and push us to reach for more. No matter where we start, our ambitions have the potential to carry us to incredible heights. Her Royal Highness Princess Eurika Mogane is living proof of this. She’s shown that hard work, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to helping others can turn dreams into reality.
Today, she shares her journey from humble beginnings to royalty and government leadership, hoping to inspire South Africa and the world.
Princess Eurika Mogane’s story began as an office cleaner. Growing up in poverty, she was determined to study Medical Sciences at the University of Pretoria, but by 2012, financial struggles forced her to drop out. Her single father, a taxi driver, couldn’t afford her tuition, and Eurika returned home, disheartened but not defeated. To make ends meet, she took a job as an office cleaner in Nelspruit. Every day, she pushed through, working long hours while continuing her studies on the side. With no access to financial aid, Eurika found creative ways to support herself, braiding fellow students’ hair to save for textbooks and basic study materials. Day by day, she pushed forward, believing that her future held something greater. Despite the obstacles, she committed herself to growth and learning, eventually carving out a new path as an internationally awarded medical specialist. She achieved what many would have thought impossible, gaining global recognition and admiration for her dedication to her field.
But the journey didn’t stop there. Princess Eurika’s path took yet another surprising turn when she became royalty.
The proud South African was appointed as the Princess Royal (Rakgadi) by the Mogane Royal Family in October 2023. In this role, she serves as an ambassador for the Mogane Royal Family and the Mogane Traditional Council, representing their culture and interests both nationally and internationally.
“My biggest role is bringing timely community Upliftment and moral support to the different communities under the jurisdiction of the Mogane Royal Family and Mogane Traditional Council. As one of the Rakgadi’s of the Kraal, I am responsible for protecting the crown, uplifting the family name and ensuring that the community lives in peace and prosperity,” the Princess explains.
With her new role, she began reaching out even further, touching lives and building opportunities for others.
More recently, she was appointed as a government commissioner of Gender Equality, allowing her to serve her country in a profound way. In this role, she works to uplift society, particularly focusing on women, children, and youth. Princess Eurika has always been driven by a desire to empower others, and her position allows her to extend her influence and bring about positive change on a larger scale.
“The rise of women doesn’t mean the fall of men. Instead, it’s a call for support from all to ensure that there is a functional society for all!” – says Princess Eurika Mogane.
This past weekend, her efforts were honoured by the Kruger Lowveld Chamber of Business and Tourism Annual Awards, which presented her with a “Community Contributor Award.” This award is a heartfelt recognition of her dedication to society, particularly her work in equipping young people with essential life and entrepreneurial skills. Princess Eurika has been a champion for youth empowerment, ensuring they are prepared to earn an honest living and contribute positively to their communities.
“Her focus is always on women and children, while also celebrating positive masculinity. She takes her time to help us draft business plans, business proposals, and even does our posters for online presence. She does all this at no cost at all. Over 50 women have been given a free business idea analysis and proposal draft to grow from so that they may bring their businesses to life,” shared one motivation for her nomination.
Another supporter praised her efforts, saying, “She doesn’t just teach us the truths about business, she literally shows us that she too implements them in her own ideas. Living up to her name, ‘Eurika’, she believes in being the solution for others. She is currently mentoring a group of local female farmers and final-year university students like myself, helping them reach their full potential, and many of them have received local support or job placements.”
For Princess Eurika, this award is both a joy and a reminder of the power of community upliftment.
Reflecting on her journey, she shared, “I am sincerely so thankful to the Lord Jesus Christ, and the support from my Spiritual Mentor and Leader Apostle Peter Jones Ministries & Foundation for affording me the opportunity to help others transition from school or university into the working or business world. Through this humbling award, I hope to encourage others to also take a stand and start training or mentoring our youth, giving them an opportunity to learn beyond the classrooms.”
Princess Eurika’s journey exemplifies what’s achievable when we use our talents to uplift others. As she builds her legacy, she reminds us that no dream is too far – it’s about believing, working hard, and, above all, helping each other rise along the way.
