The 15th of February is International Childhood Cancer Day and Cupcakes 4 Kids with Cancer hope to raise over R500,000 by hosting cupcake sales.

South Africa (02 February 2021) – Cupcakes of Hope is Non-Profit and Public Benefit Organisation, dedicated to raising funds to assist not only the financial and emotional needs of the warriors and their families fighting the disease, but also to help drive awareness about early cancer detection in children, through the love of baking.

They have launched their ‘Cupcakes 4 Kids with Cancer’ fundraising initiative and are encouraging South Africans to put on their aprons and get baking for charity.

Cupcakes Of Hope fundraisers are hosted by volunteers throughout the year in a wide variety of formats. The funds raised enable the charity to assist about 100 children every month by paying for their medical or day-to-day expenses. As they like to say, this is by far the SWEETEST way to help save a life.

The 15th of February is International Childhood Cancer Day and this year they hope to beat their fundraising from 2020. Last year they raised just over R500,000 and the hope is to reach that and go beyond.

“We’ve been extremely busy during the lockdown as we delivered masks/activity packs/sanitisers to 18 Oncology Pediatric Hospitals all across South Africa and assisted a record amount of patients in July, 131 brave little patients. Our Christmas Drive was very successful as we delivered close to 200 gifts to little cancer patients and their siblings.

Unfortunately due to Covid19, we know things are uncertain at the moment, but if you are blessed to be in a situation to bake and help raise funds this February, please join our Cupcake Angel Team and help make a difference. Any recipe can be followed as long as you remember to add the secret ingredient, it has to be baked with LOVE.” – Cupcakes of Hope
