Gift of the Givers celebrated International Volunteers Day by thanking all the men and women who have helped them distribute aid to those in need.
South Africa (06 December 2021) – Gift of the Givers is South Africa’s largest disaster response Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) in Africa, which provides aid to over 40 countries and spanning 29 years and counting legacy.
The essence of the Gift of the Givers Foundation’s presence is to bring hope and restore dignity to the most vulnerable. The organisation has distributed over R3.8 Billion in aid over the last 29 years.
Yesterday, for World Volunteer Day, the organisation sent out a message of thanks to all those men and women who have dedicated their time to lend a helping hand.
“To those courageous men and women across the world who selflessly devote their time to the betterment of humanity… we see you and we honour you! Here’s to making a difference. Happy Volunteers Day!”
Gift of the Givers provides aid to all in need, from sending help to India during their crippling 3rd wave and helping to save the South African Rhinos to setting up small hospitals to alleviate strain on the medical system during the pandemic.
Thousands of people have helped the organisation support those in need; only a few are seen in the video below. A mere drop in the ocean of people doing incredibly good things!
