Giving

Givit is a new online food drive geared at enabling people to be giving from any corner of South Africa. Now you can feed a whole family from your desk!

The Givit food drive was created to help charities get exactly what they need at any moment. This idea linked with the modern lifestyle quickly lead way to the idea of an online food drive customized to each charities needs.

“We support six big causes and sell Care Packages that include exact goods they requested. It is great to donate to food drives in stores – the problem sometimes is though that the goods donated aren’t what they need exactly, and they might get too much of one thing, etc.”

The website quickly set up a seventh beneficiary, the Knysna Fire relief! The other charities are ‘Feed A Child’, the donation will ensure 133 children get breakfast. ‘Atlantic Hope’ sponsor a baby with one months nappies or donate monthly food packages to members of the ‘Cape Town Association for the Physically Disabled’. Sponsor a months worth of puppy or kitten food to ‘Kitty & Puppy Haven’, sponsor a toiletry startup kit for 10 learners of ‘AVA’ and ‘Build A Better Society’ (BABS) donate food packages that feed the young and old.

Online charitable work is becoming the future of giving!

“GIVIT is exactly like an online shopping experience. The givers select the products they want to donate, add-to-cart and pay. Then we deliver your goods at no cost to the charity.”

The online platform also collects clothing donations directly from you to take to charity or the local charity shop.

“We are currently only doing donation pick-ups within the central & southern Cape Town regions and the Pretoria area.”
