Rodney Xolile Nombekana’s business completely failed when the lockdown hit, he worked as a tour and safari guide; thanks to the kindness of others, he survived and is now paying it forward.
Johannesburg, South Africa (27 September 2021) – As a private guide, Rodney Xolile Nombekana spent most of lockdown waiting for tourism to pick up again. His business focuses on guided safaris and the lockdown meant he was not able to offer his services. It was thanks to the support of his friends and clients, that Rodney was able to get through it.
Now that Rodney is back to business, he is paying it forward and hopes to encourage others to do the same. Rodney started the Spread the Kindness page to share kindness to those in need.
The first kind deed Rodney shared was buying R500 worth of stock from a man selling floor polish. He then told the man to keep the stock and sell it for profit.
“Our days on earth are limited now, more than ever. It’s our duty to help those less fortunate than us before it’s our time to leave. Friends and family, please join me as I help those less fortunate than I am. I will be posting daily updates. On my new page. Please like my page and help me help those less fortunate. Some of those are on my friend list and I will be visiting them too. Thank you for your Kindness.” – Rodney Xolile Nombekana
Rodney hopes more people will join the movement and help others out. Find a small business in need of a boost and purchase something.
If you would like to share your kindness, you can do so via the Facebook page here. He will continue to share the kindness with people around him.
