A homeless man who had not eaten for two days was left speechless and emotional when BI Phakathi stepped in to help him… and reminded us all what human-kindness is along the way.
Johannesburg, South Africa – BI Phakathi, a motivational speaker, filmmaker and life coach is going viral again for helping a homeless man who had not eaten for two whole days with food for a whole week, giving the man a little bit of hope to get through his daily battle.
His act has sparked more than just hope for the man known as Victor Shaw; it has given other South Africans hope in each other!
In a time when racial tension is rife and heartbreaking stories of division plague our media, Phakathi is showing us that love knows no races and that as South Africans, we should all be helping each other.
The Good Samaritan found the homeless man in Johannesburg and decided that he wanted to help. He took him to a local store to buy food and medicine for the qualified boilermaker who is unable to find work.
“Victor had been in an accident many years ago and has not fully recovered from breaking both legs while living on the streets.”
The video has inspired everyone that has seen it, reminding us that love knows no colour and the only way we can all rise, is by lifting each other.
“I’m crying, but that’s tears of joy. Finally, the man finds a place to eat. I’m so happy. God is always Good. God will bless you, Mr Phakathi.” – Nonhlanhla Mkhize
“I was raised with the words “what would Jesus do”… in any situation. I live in Krugersdorp, and on every corner, there is a homeless person. I help when and where I can. I know some of these people by name from helping and sometimes sitting and crying with them. Never judge… I learned that the hard way. Justin is one homeless guy that I learned from never to judge. Sometimes I go home and cry because I wish I could have done more. But I know God sends real angels to help. Tomorrow we get to do it all again.” – Jacqueline Swarts
“Salute brother, may your soul be cared for by Angels. A 2 minutes clip of yours changes my whole week and love of humanity. If only there was more love and less hate in this world of ours.” – Dean Du Plessis
