In memory of K9 Jett, the Healthy Hounds team have made him the face of their search and rescue business, honouring his life and all he worked for.
South Africa (10 May 2023) – Late last year, missing pet specialists Healthy Hounds lost one of their own, K9 Jett, while on duty. Jett had been working a case when he fell into an open drainage line and was washed away. Sadly, the heroic pooch was later declared deceased, leaving thousands mourning his loss.
Since his passing, handler Dianne and the Happy Hounds team have been working on a very special honour. They have made Jett the face of the company, so he will always be remembered.
Along with this honour, they were gifted a special new logo that shows Jett in his best pose.
“Jett was an exceptional young dog who loved life, loved people and gave his everything – be it play, work or even sleep! Jett was not just a dog. He was a son, a friend and a brother and is missed every moment of every day.” – Healthy Hounds
Even Dianne was moved by the honour.
“Jett, my buddy, my boy…. Tears are a regular thing still for those closest to you. You have changed how I look at life and I know you have changed those closest to me too, so this logo is for you so you are always out searching with us.” – Dianne
Supporters have been behind this change, with one donating the design of the logo and another donating the portrait of Jett which has been included.
