Richard Millar shared an incredible video caught on his CCTV camera of Oreo the Jack Russel saving the family’s beloved bunny from drowning.
South Africa (20 November 2023) – The Jack Russel is a beloved species of dog in South Africa, you cannot walk down any street without seeing one staring back at you through their gate. There is a reason: they are fiercely loyal, intelligent and protective dogs. Oreo proved this when Chocolate the Bunny slipped into the swimming pool. Oreo acted fast to save the beloved bunny.
Richard Millar shared the home-filmed CCTV of the heroic moment that has left the Good Things Guy team in awe. According to the video, that was shared two weeks ago, the rescue took place on the 8th of November 2023.
In the video, you can see that Chocolate the Bunny paddles over to the corner of the pool, clearly exhausted, in an attempt to get out. At the same time, Oreo walks over to assess the situation. After a moment of sniffing Chocolate, Orea starts to try to pull the bunny up from the pool.
After several painful but urgent attempts, Oreo gets a proper grip on Chocolate and hoists the sodden but living bunny from the pool.
Chocolate immediately runs for the cover of the bushes and Orea continues patroling the property, keeping an eye on everyone and everything!
A hero! No doubt about it!
