A JMPD officer carrying an elderly woman’s groceries is giving us all the feels!
Johannesburg, South Africa – On the 22 August 2019, Nomsa Phokompe shared a beautiful moment on her social media showing a Johannesburg Metro Police Department (JMPD) officer carrying an older lady’s groceries for her.
Officer Moloi was walking behind the woman when he offered to carry them for her!
Nomsa saw the act of kindness and knew that she had to tell others about it.
“I was walking behind this gentleman in Joburg CBD streets. The old lady had that bag on her head and he offered to help her carry her bag and cross the streets. UBUNTU guys!!! I just had to stop him and ask for his name and picture. We are led,” Nomsa tweeted.
The post has since gone viral with South Africans celebrating the officer!
“What a reaffirmation that ours is instantaneously human spirit: Yes Ubuntu/Botho expression n behavioural conduct by this law enforcement officer and public servant! I remain optimistic!” – Katishi Masemola

“It shows there is still hope that things can get better; we need to talk more about the good deeds. Thanks for sharing.” – Kabini Makhubo
