Brett Richard Palframan is on a mission to repay Eric’s kindness to the Douglasdale community by finding him a job; Eric has filled a massive pothole after a huge rainstorm.
Douglasdale, South Africa (04 January 2022) – Brett Richard Palframan has seen Eric Bereng standing at the traffic light on the corner of Grosvenor Road and Galloway Avenue in Douglasdale many times. Eric has been looking for work for a long time and stands on the roadside in the hope of finding work or at least a decent meal that night.
Brett shared that whenever he sees Eric, Eric waves and smiles. Brett recently saw Eric working to make life easier for the people that drive past him every day. Eric had collected sand to fill a massive pothole that had developed on Grosvenor Road.
“Meet Eric, I personally drive past him at least three times a day. He usually stands at the traffic light by Grosvenor & Galloway in Douglasdale, looking for work or to make ends meet. Each and every time I drive past, he waves with a huge smile on his face.”
“A few months ago, a huge pothole engulfed Grosvenor Rd, just before the highway bridge, and at one point was almost a meter in size. Eric took it upon himself to fix that pothole a few weeks ago and after each heavy rainstorm, you can see him there, repairing the hole.”
While the fix is not a long-term one, Eric hoped to make the commute for everyone a little less pocketed. Brett saw him in action and decided to pay Eric’s kindness back. To do this, Brett is on a mission to find Eric a real job to help him get back onto his feet.
“He has no job or form of contact, but I’ve taken it upon myself to help Eric find work or a steady income. He has a background in construction, but is willing to to do anything to help make ends meet.
Let’s show him that his good deed will not go unnoticed.”
Brett hopes that anyone who may have a job sees this post and reaches out. You are welcome to email us for Brett’s information.
