Pula started her life as a street kitten but she was determined to change it, living on the border of South Africa, she approached a human who scooped her up and gave her a second chance.

South Africa (01 September 2023) – It is likely that Pula the kitten has spent most of her first few months living on the streets. Despite this, she has stayed a friendly, lovable kitten and it was this trait that caught her new human’s attention.

While returning from Botswana, Pula’s new family, who have asked to remain anonymous, saw her on the South African side, begging for scraps of food and affection. Taken by this, Pula’s new mom started speaking to the sweet kitten and was surprised to see how eager she was to communicate.

The pair bonded immediately which made it impossible to leave Pula behind at the border to fend for herself. She was quickly scooped up and set off for her new life.

The first stop the family made, was at their local vet to make sure Pula was ok and so she could have all her vaccinations. The vet was very impressed and aside from being dirty and flea-covered, Pula was strong and healthy. The vet has estimated that she is around 6 months old.

When speaking to Pula’s new mom, she shared that it’s clear that Pula didn’t have a regular food supply as she eats everything placed in front of her, as fast as possible. Having been found scavenging by the dustbins, this is no surprise.

Pula’s new life is already filled with love and she even has a few new friends in two family dogs and two cats. Her future looks brighter, her heart will always be filled with love, she will always have the warm comforts of a bed, the soft touch of her loving humans and a full belly. What more could a kitten want? Now that is a feel-good story!

Take a look at her beaming up at her new mom.
