Kindness Like Confetti has thanked everyone that donated cupcakes to the Valentine’s Day cause; they made hundreds of people smile and feel loved.

Johannesburg, South Africa (24 February 2023) – In early February, Kindness Like Confetti sent out a plea for donations of cupcakes and muffins. They planned to spend Valentine’s Day, handing them out to various old aged homes, children’s homes and community projects.

Cupcakes have the ability to bring joy to anyone who receives them. The Kindness Like Confetti team hoped to spread love and joy. The community joined in, sending in hundreds of beautifully decorated cupcakes and bars of chocolate.

They visited several organisations supporting the community as well as the local branch of SAPS to thank them for serving the same community.

“On the 14th Feb the confetti girls had the pleasure of handing out the cupcakes and muffins, sweets and chocolates that were donated and baked by willing community hour volunteers.

Our aim was to sprinkle some Valentine’s love on our golden oldies, show caring to others and give appreciation for those making a difference in our community.

Huge thanks to everyone who made this day special.”

Some of the organisations that received gifts included:

  • Jordan Old Age Home
  • Ry-Ma-In Self-Help Centre
  • Caro House
  • Frederic Place
  • Salvation Army Emmarentia Eventide Home
  • Tshepo Community Development Initiatives
  • Sizo Community Outreach in Newlands
  • Oasis Children’s home
  • Montgomery Haven
  • Eufees Old Age Home
  • Fairland SAPS
  • and various Children’s homes
