South Africa (12 April 2020) – A group of South African students who completed Matric last year have started an online tutoring initiative to help all the current Matriculants get through this very tough year.
The coronavirus has to date infected over 1,7 million people globally, resulting in more than 108 000 deaths as of Sunday the 12th of April, leaving more than almost three billion people around the world in some form of lockdown or self-isolation. With over 2028 cases of coronavirus recorded in South Africa as of today, there is no denying that the statistics surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic can feel overwhelming.
Still, in the face of immense stress and trauma, there are always those that step… and these young South Africans are doing just that to help the future leaders of tomorrow.

“As a group of 2019 matriculants, we can only imagine how hard it must be to be going through matric under these circumstances. In light of this, we came together to make a difference – we are offering free tutoring and assistance to any students that need help, further we have opened a YouTube channel where we upload lessons on different topics for different subjects every day and we host a number of free zoom conferences where we tutor students.”
