Stompie, a well-tempered mixed breed, has been living at the Woodrock Animal Rescue for years now, always overlooked; the team are rallying to find him a forever home.
Johannesburg, South Africa (29 August 2022) – For some animals, shelter life becomes the only life they know. Time and time again, a hopeful dog will be overlooked and before long, years pass by. The Woodrock Animal Rescue team have seen this happen to Stompie, a faithful resident who has spent far too long living at the shelter.
The team are working hard to find Stompie a forever home and reached out to Good Things Guy to share his story.
Woodrock Animal Rescue was founded in 1992 by Nicholas and Stella, whose focus, passion and drive afforded their animal rescue vision to become a reality. They help, protect and care for thousands of animals each year
The Animal Rescue Centre originated in the suburban area of Woodmead and Khyber Rock, hence the name Woodrock, but they are now based on 8.5 hectares in the beautiful Hennops River Valley.
The organisation has worked hard to rehome as many dogs as possible. To do this, they give their rescues makeovers so they can put their best paws forward. The animal rescue then shares the photos of the hopeful pups on social media, to try find them a loving forever home.
Stompie has been with them for years and is always overlooked, so the team decided to share his story in the hopes of finally finding him a home. He is around 6 years old and is considered a mixed breed.
“Stompie has been with us for years now. He is such an easy dog. Loves to go for a daily walk and would be perfect for a calm home. Stompie loves other dogs and plays so well with them. We cannot understand why he is so overlooked.”
If Stompie is the boy for you, you can reach out to Woodrock and set up a meeting to spend some time with him.
