She didn’t say, “I love you.” She said, “love everybody.” So that’s what I’m doing – loving everybody.

Florida, United States of America (10 July 2022) – Kevin Cate, a content creator from Florida, shared a photo of a man with money and a note that says “love everybody”, which is going viral and giving us all the feels!

Cate explained that he saw a man sitting alone at a Waffle House in Midway, Florida. He greeted him and asked him what he was doing with that money.

The man told him that since 2014, he’s been handing out $1s and $5s to strangers, here and elsewhere. So, of course, Cate asked him about it.

He said he’s given away more than $13,000 (R218,677) to strangers, kids, and people he meets at Waffle House (his favourite) and elsewhere. And they all come with a note. He copies and cuts these out every few days. Cate asked about the note.

It says, “love everybody.”

Why? He explained that those were the last three words his mother said to him.

She didn’t say, “I love you.” She said, “love everybody.” So that’s what I’m doing – loving everybody.

What a beautiful story! A reminder that kindness matters.
