A South African couple have packed up their lives into a camper van and are travelling around South Africa sharing love and kindness.
Rheece Kriel and Lain Moonjava have taken to the streets to share love and kindness through the mechanism of art. Their journey started in July 2016 and has taken them to most of South Africa.
On Saturday last weekend, the couple took to the streets of Cape Town with love, music and affirmations on cardboard .
“It was both beautiful and powerful seeing eyes light up and hearts open up as we suprised people with pure playful acts of love.”
“The world needs these reminders of what love is and how to open up to love and let the walls we have created breakdown.”
The couple just want to share love and kindness. They believe that by showing kindness to each other… the world will become kinder.
“In a world where everyone plays a game to minipulate situations or people for their gain to get somewhere in life. Thats not sustainable, people end up hurt, unheard ,damaged and their only knowledge is to react the way they have been treated.”
“So many great teachers (Jesus, Bob Marley, John Lennon, Matthew silver…) have spoken about love and all it’s attributes such as caring, sharing, listening and so much more. With these ways humans can heal and opperate harmoniously.”
They intended on doing a big flashmob but due to late planning it ended up being just the couple with a great idea which opened their minds to the idea of doing this on a more regular basis.
“The experience challenged us to release our inner child and shake off public insecurities, bringing us so much closer to our true selves and we felt extremely refreshed and nourished in our souls.”
“If you feel like shedding some comforts and shouting out love to the world with us next time, watch this space for more lovemobs and public love awareness campaigns.”
