Luchae Williams, an inspiring blogger and mom, dumped the box dye and embraced her natural beauty by letting her grey hair shine for an entire year!

Gqeberha, South Africa (06 January 2025) – Self-love can be a powerful way to fully embrace oneself regardless of others’ validation. But it’s a journey, too, one of self-acceptance of your strengths, weaknesses, flaws and sometimes unwelcome physical changes.

For blogger Luchae Williams, part of her self-love journey looked like finally accepting the beauty of her grey hair. A far from romantic journey in reality but one she grew to appreciate as she went through each month over a year of resisting the urge to colour her hair, choosing instead to just rock each grey strand on her head like the queen she is!

The mom of five kids and one doggo shared a video on her socials last year, featuring a montage of clips showing off her uniquely beautiful hair to celebrate her grey hair anniversary.

“12 months later! It has been a full year since I’ve last applied colour to my hair. It’s been a challenge but dem greys are flourishing!

“Will I continue the grey hair journey? Absolutely! If you’re considering joining me, this is your reminder to JUST DO IT,” she shared in the post.

Why not take a page out of Luchae’s book and just love on yourself a little more? It could be embracing the natural kinks and coils of your hair, practising daily affirmations, extending yourself a little grace or doing more of what truly feeds your soul without making excuses for it. In Luchae’s encouraging words: JUST DO IT!
