Tiffany Dewar posted a story on Facebook after making a decision to stop and talk to a JMPD officer who she had driven past everyday.

She had seen the officer assisting school kids cross the road but what really caught her eye was seeing the officer give the kids sandwiches & clothing.

“Today I had the absolute pleasure of meeting “Mama Dora” – JMPD officer.

Having watched her everday assisting Children cross the old Pretoria road to the school next to Diepsloot… with such a shining personality that inspired me every day, that after months of waving at her, I stopped to find out her name.

Dora loves her job – she lives to assist all the children.

She buys 2 loaves of bread every day and makes sandwiches to give to all the kids who go to school across her crossing.

Some of the kids have no jerseys on cold winter days, school shoes with no bottoms, she even knows which shacks they live in to keep an eye on them.

She even personally takes kids to the hospital who have tried making porridge for their younger siblings and ended up with boling water spilling on their legs to have 2nd degree burns.

PLEASE any old clothes, school shoes abd clothes and blankets you can donate to Dora for all her Kids who are in desperate need – contact me, Kyalami Equestrian Park is Drop off or I can collect.

Every little item new or old will help.

Dora is a true Hero in making a difference through love in the community.”

We love sharing good news like this & love to see South Africans making a real difference in their communities.
