The dedicated knitters for Kindness Like Confetti’s Joseph Jersey Project recently made a bunch of baby beanies to help the Mowbray Maternity Hospital.
Linden, South Africa (24 August 2023) – The Joseph Jersey Project, run by Kindness Like Confetti (KLC), recently made up a pack filled with baby beanies to deliver to the Mowbray Maternity Hospital. A supporter of the hospital had heard of the need for tiny beanies and KLC jumped in to help.
‘Kindness like Confetti’ (KLC) is based in Linden Gauteng, and spreads kindness far and wide! KLC is a registered non-profit organisation with six main projects – collecting and distributing sanitary products, a feeding scheme, a knitting project called The Joseph Jersey Project, a dignity bag project to support victims of rape, trauma and abuse, Project Uplift, collecting new and gently used bras for women and an animal welfare support project. There are four additional KLC branches including Cape Town, Gqberha, Knysna and Pretoria.
The dedicated team of Joseph Jersey knitters and crocheters produce amazing work throughout the year. They work on projects long before they are due, planning projects and jumping to help as soon as there is a need.
The knitters make winter beanies for the homeless, as well as cell phone pouches, neck cuffs and shawls for the elderly at old age homes. They also work on Knitted toys, knee rugs and baby blankets.
KLC was able to deliver a bag filled with little beanies recently.
