Constable Luyolo Nojulumba has been hailed a hero after he caught a baby who was thrown from a shack rooftop during protests at Joe Slovo.

 

A tragic situation has revealed a hero, Constable Luyolo Nojulumba was the saviour that caught a baby girl as she was flung from the roof of a shack. The shack was being demolished because it was illegally situated on municipal lands.

The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality has paid tribute to Constable Luyolo Nojulumba at a press conference‚ describing him as “our hero” for his heroic actions.

He was the officer that caught the baby that was flung from the roof. He was available to discuss the moment he caught the baby.

“Good. I saved a life yesterday. The man threw the baby. I managed to catch the baby‚” – Constable Luyolo Nojulumba

“The first thing in my mind was just to safeguard that baby. There can be no injuries in the presence of the metro‚”

The entire situation was handled well and the child was taken to safety.

In situations like this, we can be thankful to have metro officers like Constable Luyolo Nojulumba.
