A massive Bloemfontein prayer gathering has inspired millions of South Africans around the country and the world to host their own prayer meetings to join in praying for South Africa.

In the biggest recorded prayer gathering in Africa, with over 1,7 million tickets given away already, South Africans are taking to their knees this weekend to pray for our country.

But as more than a million South Africans gather in Bloemfontein for the massive prayer gathering taking place this weekend, many South Africans from around the country and the world have set up their own prayer groups to pray for our beautiful country.

The day of prayer is intended for all South Africans of all genders, races and denominations who are concerned about the malice, hatred, violence, murder and corruption in the country.

“History is being made. God is going to move in a Mighty way over this weekend. The world will see the Mighty works of our Heavenly Father. God bless each and every person that is there over the weekend. God is so good” – Julia Koning Pretorius

Churches and event spaces around the country have opened their doors for free to allow the people of South Africa an opportunity to join the mass prayer day.

Pearl Gaitskill And that’s just those in Bloem! Churches all over the country are opening tomorrow too for special prayer meetings. This is bigger than anything I have ever seen #itstime

Mike Bouwer And in every sports field, house and hall around South Africa people will pray. In my area alone I know of the Mtubatuba rugby club grounds, the St Lucia town hall, at at least one persons house. The peripheral areas may well exceed the numbers at Bloemfontein. And every one of us with a prayer, and later a vote!
