Thanks to the kindness of a Good Samaritan, a man who has reportedly been missing for over a year was found, given a place to sleep and can now be reunited with his sister.
Cape Town, South Africa (10 April, 2024) – A man who has reportedly been missing for over a year has been found thanks to the kindness of a Good Samaritan!
In a wholesome telling, Atlantis 24h Search and Rescue (a non-profit dedicated to the Atlantis community and surrounds) shared that one person’s kindness was key in helping bring Terence Lucas back to his family and praised him as a testament to the saying “Love your neighbours as you love yourself”.
Last week, the unnamed Good Samaritan noticed Terence “looking lost and confused”. Instead of ignoring Terence, he decided to approach him and eventually offered him a place to sleep after learning more about Terence’s journey.
The unnamed Good Samaritan proceeded to contact Atlantis 24h Search and Rescue to help get Terence home upon discovering he had a mental disorder.
The Atlantis 24h Search and Rescue did some further digging and found that Terence had, in fact, been searched for before (indicated by the missing person poster).
Terence’s missing person poster highlighted that he had been missing since the 8th of March, 2023, when he was last seen.
“Due to [the Good Samaritan’s] kindness, Terence will now be reunited with his sister after being missing for over a year,” the rescue team shared, adding “we need more of you in our community,” in reference to the man who helped him.
Good Things Guy has reached out to the Search and Rescue team to find out more about the unnamed Good Samaritan! This is a developing story.
