The incumbent Mr World South Africa, who is a full-on feminist, says he is determined to ‘always’ stay humble.

South Africa (16 June 2021) – Actor-turned-model Sean van Noordwyk, who was crowned Mr World South Africa 2021, is determined to remain grounded.

“Since school, my main priority is to work hard, dream big, and to always stay humble,” the 26-year-old told Goodthingsguy.com.

“I learned a lot; I learned how to be unpresuming,” he continued.

“Therefore, I now want to help where I can in my community and on this journey hear about the hopes and the dreams that other people also have.”

Popular icon, Van Noordwyk has over 40,000 followers on Instagram.

“That’s how I’m going to be able to unite with South Africans and how I’m going to take those experiences to unite with the rest of the world.”

Originally from Bellville, Cape Town, the super-ripped lad beat off stiff competition from 14 other contestants to land the top title. He said when he met the other finalists, they immediately took off the mask that he thought he had to wear and since day one, he wanted to be his authentic self.

”I knew going into the pageant that I had an idea; I felt passionate, my experience and the outcome of the results was going to help me on my journey forward after the competition.

“The pageant contributed to changing my mindset because I am going to apply what I learnt in my life all the time,” he said.

On the runway, Van Noordwyk set hearts aflutter in a pair of Dranged underwear and gym wear before transforming into a dapper gentleman with a suit from Knight clothing and Bum and Bulge swimwear.

The 1.89-meter tall charmer is a successful actor to boot. He is a well-known face in the living rooms of fellow South Africans. He portrays the role of Reitz Bekker in the popular soap opera Getroud met Rugby

When asked about his relationship status and if he was single, the smouldering star told us that he is too busy to be in a relationship.

“And no, I’m not lonely. I have had the strongest support system since day one. Friends, family and supporters are my biggest treasure.”

Van Noordwyk considers himself a family fanatic and spends as much time with them as his busy schedule allows. His aim in life is to learn as much as possible with regards to his craft and, where possible, to take on more challenges. And if acting and modelling isn’t enough… He is also a same-sex rights pioneer.

“I do not believe in separating humanity into specific boxes. That is something society does automatically when we grow up, and we need to start looking at ways that we can break those boxes and unite everyone no matter their gender, race, religion, sexuality,” he said.

“We cannot allow our inability to do everything to undermine our determination to do something.”

This is an old quote that rings true for the nation’s most desirable man.

“The quote is pretty much self-explanatory, and my goal is to spread the message that: No matter what you do, no matter how small… it’s better than not doing anything at all,” Van Noordwyk adds.

Next on his carving stick is a program that he is busy creating to make a positive difference in South Africa.

“I can’t say too much about it just yet. But you will definitely know all about it when it gets launched.”

Word of advice for the novice?

“Be the best version of yourself that you can be. You were born an original, don’t die a copy.”
