Andrew Marshall’s parents shared a genuinely moving story, and he wants the world to hear about the kindness one nurse has bestowed on an ailing elderly man.
Johannesburg, South Africa – Andrew Marshall’s parents are part of a lawn bowls club, and one of their members isn’t doing well.
He is 79 years old and has been and out of government hospital. He has had ailing health and a damaged shoulder which was operated on. The shoulder has had reoccurring infections and started developing pressure sores.
Sadly the gentleman has no family left in South Africa. A social worker connected nurse Zola Mojoro with the man to see if she could offer him some assistance. Nurse Zola has gone above and beyond her call of duty to help the man recover from his surgery.
Nurse Zola opened a home for the elderly and is highly skilled in offering specialised care for those in need. Her care home is called Kwezizola.
“This wonderful nurse, Zola Mojoro, has cared for him with love and care and healed his oozing shoulder. She has driven him up and down to Johannesburg General, fed him and bought supplies without being paid”
Andrew’s parents have been moved by Zola’s efforts and are working to get funds together to help cover the costs of her kindness.
“He has deteriorated badly and was refused admission to ICU at Jhb hospital due to his age and multiple ailments and has been admitted to South Rand hospital where Zola is still going daily to change his sheets and render whatever he needs.
“Her attentive care is an incredible example of two cultures being bought together just purely by love and the fact she can’t bare to see this old man suffer, and I think this lady needs some recognition.”
Zola opened her care centre in August 2018; if you would like to support this incredible woman, you can connect to her via the Kwezizola Facebook page.
