Jacelyn Zwart shared how a shop assistant helped her granny pick the perfect pair of slippers after a major hip operation, she praised the man for going the extra mile.

Durban, KwaZulu-Natal – Jacelyn’s granny was at the Richden Centre in Hillcrest shopping for a new pair of slippers after a major hip operation. She was walking through the centre with the aid of a walking stick but was a little uneasy on her feet.

She made her way to the Pep store and was greeted by a very helpful young man by the name of Ntandoh. He could see that Jacelyn’s granny was growing tired and offered to help her.

He took her through to the shoe aisle and got her something to sit down and rest on. He then removed her shoes for her so she could try on the slippers of her choice.

Jacelyn thought this kind of care for the customer deserved praise and hopes that the right people see her post about Ntandoh. She shared it on the Upper Highway Info Facebook group so that people would know the good thing Ntandoh did for her granny.

“5 stars to Ntandoh at Richdens Hillcrest Pep. This fantastic man helped my gran find a pair of slippers going as far as to grab a chair for her to sit down on. He took her shoes off and put on various pairs on slippers for my gran as she wasn’t sure what she wanted.

My gran recently had a hip op and is very uneasy on her feet but Ntandoh made her feel special and she found the right pair. We need more people like Ntandoh to give a 5-star job to customers.”

Many followers commented on how refreshing it was to see compliments and praise over complaints. Others mentioned their own good experiences at the Richden PEP store, saying staff are always helpful and friendly.
